GENERAL WEBSITE INFORMATION
Step 2: You will need to get someone to host your domain. In other words, you will need to find a company that will provide to you disk space on their servers so that your webpages can be viewed at anytime, by anyone in the world. Not only do web hosting company's keep your webpages on their servers, they also broadcast to every single computer on the Internet, where your domain is located. So if someone types in www.yourdomain.com , they will be directed to your website. There is a monthly fee for this service. Most hosting plans are roughly about $10 a month. This fee is paid to an Internet Hosting Company. Step 3: You will need someone to construct your Website. A lot of people like to do this on their own. The problem is, the website usually looks like it was created by someone that is a novice. For the most part, building a Website is not real difficult, but instead is very time consuming and should be organized properly in order for everything to work correctly. The creation of your Website, by far, will be your biggest expense. Once it is created, the only thing you need to do is edit it from time to time. Step
4: Now that your Website is created, how do you draw users to
it? You can always advertise your Website address on things such as
business cards, license plate frames, flyers, etc..., but what about being
found by users that are searching the Internet? This is what separates
novice Website builders from Professionals. Keywords
need to be strategically placed on all pages of your
Website so that
you can be found on major search engines and directories such as MSN,
Yahoo, Google, etc... If your
pages are not setup correctly, you will not be found.
Once this is completed, you need to have your Website submitted
to each search engine and directory.
